Pukyong National University Professors Song Kangil and Lim Hyoryeong Selected for NRF Mid-Career and Young Researcher Programs

Implementation of Leading Research Projects in the Digital Healthcare Sector

National Pukyong University announced on the 28th that Professor Song Kangil and Professor Lim Hyoryeong from the Human Bio Convergence Major have been selected for the Ministry of Science and ICT's "Mid-Career Research (Outstanding Young Researcher Follow-up)" and "Young Researcher Infrastructure Support Project," respectively.


The Mid-Career Research (Outstanding Young Researcher Follow-up) project, which is an individual basic research project, supports outstanding and creative young researchers to help them grow into mid-career leader researchers.


The Young Researcher Infrastructure Support Project is a program led by the Ministry of Science and ICT that supports the expansion of infrastructure for young researchers to carry out creative research.


With this selection, Professor Song Kangil will conduct research on "Development of Intelligent Neural Modulation Technology Using Flexible Electronic Devices and On-Device Artificial Intelligence," and Professor Lim Hyoryeong will carry out research on "Development of Integrated Chemical Sensor Patch Using Laser Generation Equipment."


Lee Byungil, head professor of the Human Bio Convergence Major, said, "We expect that the challenging and creative research conducted by the faculty members of the Human Bio Convergence Major for the development of digital healthcare technology will serve as an opportunity to foster future talents in this field and secure fundamental technologies."
