500m Barefoot Trail with Yellow Soil Opening on June 1... Length 500m, Width 2m
Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) announced on the 28th that it will operate a 500-meter-long, 2-meter-wide loess barefoot path in a section of the small park walking trail at the Muan Hoisan Baengnyeonji Smart Farm starting from the 1st of next month.
Until now, Hoisan Baengnyeonji has welcomed tourists focusing on summer festivals due to the characteristics of lotus flowers blooming in summer, but with the creation of the loess barefoot path, it is expected to provide year-round experiential attractions for nearby residents and visitors and also help improve health.
On the newly created barefoot walking course, visitors can overlook the lotus pond at a glance and encounter various vegetation. Additionally, naturally dense tree shade is formed, allowing comfortable barefoot walking even in midsummer.
At the starting and ending points of the loess barefoot path, foot washing stations and shoe racks have been installed to provide convenient spaces for users to wash their feet.
Ha Young-mi, Director of Tourism, stated, “We will create Hoisan Baengnyeonji as a place that visitors want to come to all year round by offering more diverse sights and experiential attractions.”
Meanwhile, Muan Hoisan Baengnyeonji is a representative tourist destination in Muan-gun visited by 400,000 people annually, featuring various attractions such as a water playground, camping site, animal farm, and greenhouse. The 27th Muan Lotus Festival will be held for four days from July 25 to 28.
