Asan City in Chungnam announced on the 28th that it has secured 6 billion KRW in national funding after being selected for the "Industrial Complex Youth Culture Center Construction Project" promoted by the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation.

The "2024 Industrial Complex Youth Culture Center Construction" project aims to build a center that consolidates convenience facilities and innovation support facilities within industrial complexes to improve workers' welfare environments and strengthen youth attraction functions.

The city plans to invest a total of 8.7 billion KRW, including 6 billion KRW in national funding, to construct a youth culture center featuring cultural, sports, and convenience spaces in the Inju General Industrial Complex by 2028.

The city expects the youth culture center to serve as a youth-friendly leisure and relaxation space for young workers within the Inju Industrial Complex and act as a hub for the "Asan Northern Region Youth Platform."

Deputy Mayor Jo Il-gyo stated, "The Inju General Industrial Complex, which has greatly contributed to Asan's development, is the oldest industrial complex in Asan, with outdated facilities and poor cultural, sports, and convenience amenities, causing significant inconvenience to workers. We hope that with the construction of this youth culture center, the Inju Industrial Complex will transform into a youth-friendly industrial complex equipped with cultural, childcare, and convenience facilities."
