Are you familiar with the campaign to create a healthy 'campus'?
The Department of Nursing at Dong-Eui Institute of Technology (President Kim Youngdo) announced on the 28th that it held a 'Creating a Healthy Campus' campaign for its students on the 22nd.
This campaign was conducted to encourage students to adopt healthy lifestyle habits and improve their health behaviors. It was organized by the Cheonsa Club of the Department of Nursing and held in collaboration with the Busanjin-gu Public Health Center.
The event included health education sessions such as ▲smoking cessation education ▲alcohol abstinence education ▲sex education, which helped improve the health behaviors of university students. At the experience booths, activities such as ▲pregnancy simulation ▲elderly simulation were held to promote awareness for overcoming the low birthrate issue and consideration for pregnant women.
A freshman who participated in the event said, "I had never really thought about health before, but by taking part in this campaign, I realized how important health management is for my future. It was a meaningful experience."
Professor Lee Seunghee, advisor of the Cheonsa Club, emphasized, "According to social trends such as the increase in single-person households, health habits and behaviors formed during university life have a significant impact throughout one's life. We will continue to conduct various campaigns in collaboration with the local community to help university students establish proper health habits and behaviors."
The Department of Nursing at Dong-Eui Institute of Technology guides its students based on an excellent educational environment and practice-oriented education. Recently, it received a five-year accreditation for its bachelor's degree program in nursing in the '2023 First Half Nursing Education Accreditation Evaluation' conducted by the Korean Accreditation Board of Nursing Education.
