Chosun University Selected as an Excellent Clinical Practice Institution by the Korean Association of Speech-Language Pathologists

On the 18th, Chosun University’s Department of Speech-Language Pathology in the College of Natural Sciences and Public Health Safety was selected as an 'Outstanding Clinical Practice Institution' by the Korea Association of Speech-Language Pathologists.


Chosun University Selected as an Excellent Clinical Practice Institution by the Korean Association of Speech-Language Pathologists

The Korea Association of Speech-Language Pathologists is a statutory organization established based on Article 80-2 of the Welfare of Persons with Disabilities Act. It protects the rights and interests of speech-language pathologists and provides the best services to individuals with speech-language disabilities and their families through the development of educational programs and awareness improvement.


From February to March, the Korea Association of Speech-Language Pathologists conducted on-site inspections of clinical practice at speech-language pathology departments in universities and graduate schools nationwide, and Chosun University’s Department of Speech-Language Pathology was selected as an outstanding clinical practice institution.


Additionally, Chosun University’s Department of Speech-Language Pathology signed a business agreement with the Korea Association of Speech-Language Pathologists.


The main contents include ▲support for education and activities to develop the speech rehabilitation service industry and expand services ▲matters for improving the treatment and rights of speech-language pathologists ▲exchange and cooperation for mutual development of both organizations.


Jung Guja, head of the Department of Speech-Language Pathology, stated, "Since its establishment in 2007 to cultivate creative and responsible speech-language pathologists, the department has consistently produced excellent speech-language pathologists through systematic education and professional clinical practice," adding, "We will continue to develop various programs needed by the local community and strive to train professional speech-language pathologists."
