Yuja, Gim, Rice, and More Enter the Mongolian K-Food Trend Market
Gohung-gun, Jeonnam Province announced that the ‘Gohung-gun Agricultural and Marine Products Export Development Team,’ led by County Governor Gong Young-min, signed a three-year export agreement worth 1 million USD for Gohung agricultural and marine products with MINII DELGUUR Co., Ltd. (CEO Saruul) in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia on the 27th.
MINII DELGUUR Co., Ltd. is a local distribution company based in downtown Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, operating 54 local directly-managed stores. It is a major Mongolian distribution company that imports fresh foods such as fruits and vegetables, as well as various ingredients from overseas, and distributes them in the Mongolian market.
CEO Saruul of MINII DELGUUR said, “Mongolia imports 80% of its food and ingredients, and our company has been providing safe and high-quality food to Mongolians for 30 years. Through this agreement, we hope that various products from Gohung will be loved by Mongolians.”
Gohung County Governor Gong Young-min said, “I am very honored that Gohung products such as yuzu and gim have entered the Mongolian market amid the K-food craze happening in Mongolia,” adding, “We will strive to develop export markets through localization of Gohung agricultural and marine processed foods, and do our best so that farmers and fishermen can focus solely on producing high-quality agricultural and marine products without worries.”
Meanwhile, a Gohung-gun official stated, “We will continuously develop products that suit the tastes of Mongolian locals through this agreement,” and added, “We will continue to expand the global export market through branding of Gohung agricultural and marine products and active overseas marketing.”
