KCGI Management's 'KCGI US S&P500 TOP10 ETF' to be Listed on 28th

KCGI Asset Management announced on the 28th that it will list the ‘KCGI US S&P500 TOP10 ETF,’ which invests in the top 10 companies by market capitalization in the S&P500, on the Korea Exchange KOSPI market on the 28th. This is the first ETF launched since KCGI Asset Management changed its name last August.

This is the first time an ETF has been established based on the ‘S&P500 TOP10 Index,’ which focuses on investing in the top 10 companies by market capitalization in the S&P500. The S&P500 TOP10 Index has recorded higher returns than the representative US index, the S&P500. As of May 15, the cumulative return over 10 years is 389%, more than twice the 184% of the S&P500 during the same period. When converted to an annual compound rate, it corresponds to a high return of 17.2%.

The S&P500 Top10 Index includes Microsoft, Apple, Nvidia, Amazon, Alphabet, Meta, Berkshire Hathaway, Tesla, UnitedHealth Group, and Johnson & Johnson.

Exchange-traded funds (ETFs) can be traded like stocks through securities firms’ HTS, and can also be traded through retirement pension accounts (DC·IRP), pension savings, and securities firms’ ISA accounts.

Kim Byung-chul, CEO of KCGI Asset Management, said, "The S&P500 TOP10 Index is composed of large blue-chip companies with market dominance, making it more suitable for long-term investment to prepare retirement funds such as retirement pensions due to its higher long-term returns compared to the S&P500 Index."

KCGI Asset Management will hold various events such as ‘Guess the ETF Name’ and ‘Find the Bus Advertisement’ until July 27 to commemorate the ETF listing.
