"Suffered Hundreds of Millions in Fire Damage but Was Worried Instead"
Amid ongoing disputes over the truth regarding Kang Hyung-wook's 'gapjil' behavior, a positive story about his wife, Susan Elder, has surfaced. On the 27th, multiple online communities posted an article titled "A post from the CEO who managed the logistics of Bodeum Company." The author, A, who said some experiences last a lifetime, wrote, "My memories of Bodeum Company are connected to a hellish experience," adding, "While running a logistics company, I rarely had to meet client company representatives, but in May 2020, under extreme circumstances, I had no choice but to face the wife of the company's CEO."

A recalled, "A fire broke out at the inventory center managed by the logistics company, completely destroying the products of about 60 client companies, including Bodeum Company," and "The property damage caused by the fire, whose cause was unknown, amounted to 6.4 billion KRW." Visiting 6 to 8 companies daily and meeting client representatives, A revealed that some representatives who suffered significant losses grabbed him by the collar, cursed, or threatened him.

However, A claimed the situation was different when he visited Bodeum Company. He said, "After visiting about 40 companies over roughly six days, one of the places I visited was Bodeum Company," and "The CEO's wife, despite losing inventory worth hundreds of millions of won?her lifeblood?due to the fire, was instead concerned about me." He recalled that her attitude was distinctly different from other client representatives. He added, "Even now, whenever I go through difficult times, I sometimes think of her," and "I have never met Kang Hyung-wook and have no vested interests. Currently, I am no longer a client."
The post has since been deleted. The 'gapjil controversy' involving Kang Hyung-wook arose after former employees of Bodeum Company recently alleged through job search sites and other platforms that Kang and his wife harassed employees. Kang and his wife responded to various accusations via YouTube, but employees who watched the explanation have countered again and are reportedly preparing for criminal charges.
