Gongju City Achieves 100 Million Won in Hometown Love Donations Gongju City has surpassed 100 million won in hometown love donation fundraising.

Gongju City in Chungnam has surpassed 100 million won in hometown love donation fundraising.


According to the city on the 28th, as of the 23rd, the total number of hometown love donation donors reached 989, with a cumulative amount of 104 million won.


The number of donors increased by 391 compared to 598 during the same period last year. The city aims to raise 500 million won in donations this year.


Mayor Choi Won-cheol donated hometown love funds to Buyeo County and Cheongyang County in April to promote the culture of hometown love donations.


Additionally, Sejong City and Andong City launched a campaign called “Donation to Gongju (愛), Mutual Donations Still Result in Gongju (愛) Donation Effect, Good Deeds Start with Us (善行, 先行),” with about 300 participants.


Along with this, through the event “Join Us! Hometown Love Donation System, Finding Gongju Donation 1004,” donors with specific last digits 52, 94, and the 1004th donor receive thank-you gifts as prizes.


Furthermore, the “Dum & Dum Event with Chungcheongnam-do” is ongoing until June 2, offering 100 sets each of five representative thank-you gifts, totaling 500 sets, on a first-come, first-served basis.


The event products include △150g extra added to the existing 800g of chestnut Hanwoo beef △2 extra packs added to the existing 6 packs of peeled chestnuts weighing 180g each △2 extra chestnut pies and chestnut madeleines added to the existing 18 pieces △4 extra rice chestnut breads added to the existing 16 pieces △300g of black rice injeolmi added to the existing 2kg of Gongju injeolmi.


Mayor Choi Won-cheol said, “I deeply thank the donors who have participated in loving Gongju so far, and I will continue to develop the system so that more people can join in sharing value along with the benefits of tax deductions and thank-you gifts.”
