5 Billion Won Per Project, Total Support of 1 Billion Won

A pilot project to decorate villages using color and landscape design will be launched in Ulsan.

The Ulsan city government announced that a document review for the selection of the ‘2024 Color Village Theme Park Pilot Project’ will be held at 2 p.m. on the 28th at the Ulsan Metropolitan Urban Regeneration Support Center.

This pilot project is an initiative in which Ulsan provides funding to create artistic village spaces utilizing color and landscape design, offering cultural content tailored to the unique characteristics of each region.

After the review, two final projects will be selected, and each will receive 500 million KRW, totaling 1 billion KRW in project funding.

As a result of the public contest held at the end of April, a total of six projects were submitted: ▲Jung-gu ‘Creating a New Ulsan-style Traditional Market’ ▲Nam-gu ‘Jangsaengpo Color Village Landscape Improvement’ ▲Dong-gu ‘Creation of Hwasaekdongjin Color Village’ ▲Buk-gu ‘Panji-Jejeon Ocean Road Development’ ▲Ulju-gun ‘Onsan National Industrial Complex Cultural Landscape Improvement’ and ‘Chuseong 1 Reservoir Trail Construction’.

On this day, a panel of five experts will review the six projects submitted by the districts and counties.

The evaluation will focus on the appropriateness of the projects, feasibility, resident participation, and expected effects.

An official from Ulsan stated, “We will do our best to promote landscape regeneration that can enhance the vitality and vibrancy of the local community, making Ulsan a more exciting city.”
