Life Redesign Education, Core Competency Enhancement, and Employment Connection for 20 Guro-gu Residents Aged 35 and Over
Guro-gu (District Mayor Moon Heon-il) is recruiting participants for the 2nd term of the '4050 Career Fitness' program.
4050 Career Fitness is a program designed for retirees aged 35 and older, providing competency enhancement education and linking them to employment opportunities amid the trend of decreasing retirement ages.
Participants receive life redesign education and core competency training, along with life transition counseling and one-on-one customized employment counseling. Employment support services such as study groups and profile photo shoots are provided, and additional counseling and follow-up management are offered to the unemployed.
The education sessions will be held twice a week from July 17 to August 16 at the Guro-gu Middle-aged Dream Center and Chungmuro Sangsang Canvas.
Applications can be submitted through the Guro-gu Office website from June 1 to July 3. For more details, inquiries can be made to the Guro-gu Office Job Support Division or the executing agency, Sangsang Woori.
The district will select participants through document screening and interviews.
Mayor Moon Heon-il of Guro-gu stated, "The experience and abilities of the middle-aged population will greatly benefit society and businesses," adding, "We will continue to do our best to create jobs and support employment."
The first term, which completed recruitment last week, will begin education at the end of this month, and the district aims for more than 60% of the trainees from both the 1st and 2nd terms to succeed in finding employment.
