K-Sports Traditional Tournament 'Saha-gu Jokgu Association President's Cup' Rankings Determined

What were the results of the national 'jongju' sport Jokgu tournament that heated up Eulsukdo, the home of migratory birds, last weekend?


The winners of the four divisions at the 18th Saha-gu Jokgu Association President's Invitational Jokgu Tournament, held on the 26th at the Eulsukdo International Football Stadium in Hadan-dong, Saha-gu, were determined.


This major amateur sports event was hosted and organized by the Saha-gu Jokgu Association, with support from the Saha-gu Office, Saha-gu Sports Council, and the Busan Jokgu Association.

Centered around Saha-gu, over 35 teams from about 20 clubs, totaling more than 300 participants, competed in four categories: J3·J4 Busan Integrated Division, Busan J5, Busan 60s Division, and Saha J6.


The J3 and J4 Busan Integrated Division title went to Busan Jungang. Hyungwoo A took second place, while Youngshin and Oryuk shared third. In the Busan J5 division, Jaemisa Ma claimed victory, Youngshin A was runner-up, and Jeungsan B and Jtop A teams shared third place.


In the Busan 60s Division, Jeungsan A took first place, Mujigae was runner-up, and Hanse and BK shared third. In the Saha J6 division, Yeoul won the title, Castle A was runner-up, and Nakdong JC A and Yeoul 50 teams shared third place.


Jang Heeuk, secretary general of the Busan Jokgu Association, said, "In this traditional tournament, which plays a significant role in the development of amateur Jokgu, there was fierce competition among general teams." Yoon Byungkyu, competition director, added, "As one of the largest Jokgu events in Busan, many strong teams participated."


Park Samcheol, president of the Busan Jokgu Association, stated, "We will do our best to promote Jokgu, our traditional ball game, as a K-sport to the world."
