HTS Also Problematic... Account Verification Impossible
"Service Normalization" Notice Despite Service Instability
At the end of April, a system failure occurred again after about a month in Samsung Securities' Mobile Trading Service (MTS) and other platforms.
According to the financial investment industry on the 27th, around 10:50 a.m., service disruptions occurred on both Samsung Securities' MTS 'mPOP' and Home Trading Service (HTS). While connection itself was not an issue, account balance checks were impossible, and stock trading was unavailable.
Currently, Samsung Securities stated through an "urgent system notice" that "due to a system error, the service was not operating normally. It has now been restored," but some customers are still experiencing inconvenience. The service is presumed to remain unstable.
On Naver's 'Samsung Securities' stock discussion board, posts expressing dissatisfaction from investors continued to appear. The number of posts reached about 150.
Meanwhile, at the end of April, Samsung Securities also experienced an issue where the evaluation profit and loss trend could not be checked for four hours. At that time, when entering the evaluation profit and loss trend menu on Samsung Securities' MTS, only a notification window stating "Performance evaluation details generation is delayed" was displayed.
A Samsung Securities official said, "Customers who experienced inconvenience can file damage compensation claims through the website and call center, and appropriate compensation will be provided accordingly."
