The police stated that they can prove the charges of reckless driving causing injury and hit-and-run causing injury under the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Crimes during the detention period of trot singer Kim Ho-jung.

A National Police Agency official explained at a regular press briefing on the 27th, "The Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Crimes is judged based on whether the person actually drank alcohol and whether normal driving was made difficult," adding, "We applied it because we judged that the charges could be proven." Regarding whether Kim and the victim have reached a settlement and the submission of a letter of no punishment request, the official said, "Nothing has been received yet."

Regarding Kim's "Gangnam Police Station unauthorized appearance," the police said, "There is no instruction to come underground or above ground. It is up to the respective police station to decide," and added, "Basically, the attendance date and time are confidential, and reporting is a separate matter."

Regarding the investigation of Mrs. Kim Geon-hee related to Pastor Choi Jae-young's stalking charges, the police stated, "There are various methods to investigate the victim," and "It is not yet the stage for a direct investigation."
