On the 24th, about 40 Shindonga Construction executives and employees were divided into eight teams to remove weeds, level the fields, install pepper stakes, and clean an abandoned school. They also delivered daily necessities needed by the villagers.

Woo Soo-young, president of Shindonga Construction, who participated in the volunteer work that day, said, “I am grateful to the villagers who always welcome us warmly like family. Although we say we come to help, we end up gaining more than we give, which makes me feel sorry. I hope the relationship between the company and the village continues in the future.”

After finishing the volunteer work, the company executives and employees and the villagers shared a dinner together, enjoying trout sashimi directly farmed in Yeongwol.

As part of the Familier Sharing Movement, Shindonga Construction helps with farm work twice a year during busy farming seasons and operates a direct agricultural product market at its Seoul headquarters during the off-season, selling agricultural products harvested in the village. The cumulative number of executives and employees who have participated in the volunteer work to date is about 1,400.

Shindonga Construction continues its one-village-one-neighbor activities in various forms, including community activities in the village, purchasing agricultural products, and supporting multicultural families.
