Preliminaries and Finals by District, Grand Finale at Industrial Festival in October
Ulsan City will hold the "Our Workplace Singing King" contest to provide a venue for unity among workers, who are the driving force behind the city's growth.
According to Ulsan City on the 27th, the contest will include online preliminary rounds and regional finals for each of the five districts until October, culminating in the final round during the Ulsan Industrial Festival, where the ultimate singing king will be selected.
"Our Workplace Singing King" is an event launched for the first time this year to boost the pride of workers, who are the main contributors to Ulsan's remarkable growth, and to strengthen solidarity by encouraging interaction among employees from different companies.
About ten teams from each district, who pass the online preliminary rounds, will compete in the regional finals for the title of singing king. The grand prize, gold prize, silver prize, and popularity award winners in the finals will receive cash prizes, and a congratulatory performance is also planned.
Among the finalists, the grand prize and gold prize winners from each district will advance to the final round during the Ulsan Industrial Festival in October.
Workers currently employed in Ulsan may participate in the selection contest for the district where their company is located. For groups such as bands, the application should be submitted based on the company address of the representative member.
To apply, download the application form from the JCN Ulsan Jungang Broadcasting website and submit it by email along with a video of a song or band performance within three minutes.
The regional final for the Jung-gu edition of Our Workplace Singing King will be held on the 8th of next month at the Wangbeodeul Square in Taehwagang National Garden, and applications for the Nam-gu preliminary round are being accepted online until June 9. The schedules for the Dong-gu, Buk-gu, and Ulju-gun editions will be announced later.
An Ulsan City official said, "We hope that all workers, who are the driving force of Ulsan, will create enjoyable and unique memories through the first-ever Our Workplace Singing King event this year."
