On May 27, the city of Busan will appoint Kim Kyungtae, Policy Advisor to the Minister of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, as the new Director of Planning and Coordination.

The newly appointed Director of Planning and Coordination, Kim Kyungtae, is a native of the Busan region who graduated from Dongnae High School and majored in psychology at Seoul National University. He entered public service by passing the 44th Higher Civil Service Examination.
He has held key positions such as Director of Fiscal Cooperation at the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, Administrator at the Presidential Office of Balanced Personnel Affairs, Director of Local Regulation Innovation, Director of Accounting System, Director of Grant Tax, and Head of the Administrative Service Integration Promotion Team.
Mayor Park Hyungjoon stated, "Kim Kyungtae, the new Director of Planning and Coordination, is recognized for his competence, having held major positions at the central government. I expect him to play a significant role for the city of Busan as well," adding, "I especially hope he will serve as a bridge between the central and local governments and contribute to the advancement of Busan's municipal administration."
