Guro-gu Hosts Social Economy Social Market (Marketplace)

June 1 PM at Oryudong Station Plaza... Rich Experiences Including Pottery, Cookie Icing, Coffee Grounds, Pop-up Book Making, and Handmade Makgeolli Making

Guro-gu (Mayor Moon Heon-il) will hold a social economy social market at the plaza in front of Exit 3 of Oryu-dong Station from 1 PM to 7 PM on June 1st.

Co-hosted by the Guro Social Economy Integrated Support Center and the Guro Social Economy Social Cooperative, the 'Guro-gu Social Economy Social Market' has firmly established itself as a channel supporting sales routes for social economy enterprises and as a venue for exchange and harmony among social economy organizations.

It is characterized by operating booths for product promotion, sales, and experiences through collaboration among social economy organizations.

This year, 20 social economy enterprises, cooperatives, and councils within Guro-gu will participate, allowing visitors to see products from social economy enterprises based in Guro-gu at a glance.

Experience activities include △ Making eco-friendly fabric softener and organizing methods experience (Space Hamkke) △ Creating your own pop-up book from discarded picture books (Popup Noliteo) △ Making fair trade keyrings (Guro Fair Trade Council) △ Assembling famous painting puzzles and mini landscape puzzles (Gureumi) △ Cookie icing and coffee grounds (Durihanadaul) △ Ceramic crafts, baking, and animal interaction (Dreamkeepers Cooperative) △ Making multicultural dolls (Rainbow Happy Job) △ ‘Flower-like Me’ art activity experience (Artlit Social Cooperative) △ Marshmallow game and drawing fair trade marks (Yeongnimjung Social Cooperative) △ Petal tea and lotus leaf tea experience (Cheonwang Village Sonkil Social Cooperative) △ Traditional liquor experience (Korea Chamjeon Traditional Fermented Food Cooperative) △ Environmental experience (Peace Hana), among others, will be held in a diverse manner.

In addition, visitors can directly see and purchase various social economy products as well as eco-friendly, fair trade, and local brand items, which is expected to further enhance residents' awareness of the social economy.

Furthermore, about 1,500 people, including Mayor Moon Heon-il of Guro-gu, social economy enterprise representatives, related institution officials, and local residents, are expected to participate in the event to support the revitalization of the social economy.
