From the 30th of this month to the 9th of next month, for 11 days
The Lotte Retail Group has revealed the detailed outline of the largest integrated shopping festival of the first half of the year, the ‘Lotte Red Festival.’ At marts and supermarkets, beef will be offered at 'half-price discounts,' and department stores will provide an immediate 10,000 KRW discount on beauty brands. Additionally, Hi-Mart will offer a 200,000 KRW discount on air conditioners, and a 1 million LPOINT raffle is also prepared.
The Lotte Retail Group announced on the 27th that the first half ‘Lotte Red Festival’ will be held for a total of 11 days from the 30th of this month to the 9th of next month, targeting June, which is a low season for shopping. According to the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy’s ‘Major Retailers Sales Trends,’ June has been the second-lowest month in total retail sales over the past two years.
The Lotte Retail Group is expanding this year’s first half ‘Lotte Red Festival’ from 11 participating affiliates last year to 16 affiliates this year. Not only Lotte retail affiliates but also hotels, World, and cultural foundations are joining forces, covering shopping, travel, tourism, culture, and sports comprehensively. Especially, this first half event will showcase the largest number of shopping categories in Korea, including seasonal food, fashion, beauty, and seasonal home appliances, at up to half price. Furthermore, the event will offer various benefits including the ‘LPOINT 1 million points accumulation opportunity,’ which grows bigger the more you pay at Lotte affiliates.
First, Lotte Mart and Super will offer ‘Australian grain-fed chuck eye roll’ at up to half price when paid with event cards from the 30th to the 5th of next month, and watermelons will be sold at the lowest price of the year throughout the event period. In addition, a ‘Red Item (RED ITEM) Sale’ will be held, offering discounts on red-colored products such as U.S. cherries (450g pack), Gangwon Province glutinous tomatoes (3kg pack), and 50 types of red wine.
Eight types of ‘Vacation assorted packs,’ including first-grade Korean beef for grilling, and a large fried chicken (one whole) will be sold at up to 40% discount. Essential ingredients such as ‘Happy Coexistence Eggs (30 large eggs)’ and popular foods and daily necessities will also be available in one-plus-one and two-plus-one promotions.
Seven Eleven will sell seven types of its private brand (PB) ‘Seven Select,’ including the famous ‘Ijangwoo Udon’ ‘Ubul Restaurant Instant Udon Large Cup,’ and five types of ‘Matjangwoo Lunchboxes’ at up to half price starting from the 1st of next month. Additionally, 10 types of red wine, including Australian vintage wines ‘Mollydooker Blue Eyed Boy’ (750ml) and ‘Mollydooker Enchanted Path’ (750ml), will be offered at reasonable prices.
Lotte Department Store will provide an immediate 10,000 KRW discount on purchases over 50,000 KRW for 11 best beauty brands in the first half, along with maximum 7.5% rewards based on purchase amount. Outlets will hold a ‘Surprise Week’ from the 31st of this month, where over 500 brands will offer up to an additional 30% discount on outlet prices at all locations.
At Lotte GFR, fashion brands such as Bimba Y Lola and Kawe will be available exclusively at the Lotte Red Festival with discounts up to 40%. Lotte ON will sell beauty and fashion brands at up to 50% off and offer a 10,000 KRW discount coupon to the first customers who purchase over 70,000 KRW.
Lotte Hi-Mart will offer up to 200,000 KRW immediate discount on air conditioners in response to the early heatwave, along with up to 25% discounts on seasonal home appliances such as air conditioners, fans, and refrigerators, and will also sell care services linked to seasonal appliances. Lotte Home Shopping will offer up to 10% discounts on seasonal appliances such as dehumidifiers and circulators released this year, along with special brand promotions. Especially, during the event period, customers who purchase over 100,000 KRW at Lotte Home Shopping will receive daily necessities from the PB brand ‘One Good Today’ or ready meals from ‘Cooking’ that can be picked up at Lotte Mart, offering online and offline linked shopping benefits.
In addition, not only Lotte retail affiliates but also affiliates in travel, tourism, and culture will participate. Hotels, duty-free shops, and World will offer up to 30% discount on stays at Lotte Hotel Busan and Jeju, 20% discount on prepaid card LDF Pay, and up to 25% discount on the aquarium and Seoul Sky. The cinema’s ‘One Plus One ticket’ and ‘4,000 KRW movie + 3,000 KRW combo’ discount coupons, which sold out continuously last year, are expected to receive great responses from customers again this year. Lotte GRS will provide 40% discount coupons daily on two types of Angel-in-us snow drinks on a first-come, first-served basis, and the Lotte Cultural Foundation will raffle concert hall tickets.
Also, during the ‘Lotte Red Festival,’ 100 customers will be selected by lottery to receive 1 million LPOINT. Additionally, from the 3rd to the 9th of next month, the ‘FC Seoul Pop-up Store’ will be held at Jamsil Lotte World Mall in conjunction with the ‘Lotte Red Festival.’
