'Hwasun Full Occupancy Rental Housing'... 51 Youth and 43 Newlywed Couples Move In by End of June

The lottery for tenants eligible for this year's Hwasun 10,000 Won rental housing has been successfully completed. Fifty-one young adults and 43 newlywed couples will move into the 10,000 Won rental housing by the end of June.

According to Hwasun County (Governor Gu Bok-gyu) on the 26th, a lottery ceremony for tenants of the '10,000 Won Rental Housing' support project for young adults and newlywed couples was held at the Hanium Culture and Sports Center.

A total of 541 people were eligible for the lottery, with 505 attending the ceremony. The lottery for newlywed couples was conducted first, followed by the lottery for young adults.

In 2024, the supply of 10,000 Won rental housing in Hwasun for young adults and newlywed couples was planned to allocate a total of 100 units, with 50 units for young adults and 50 units for newlywed couples. However, the number of units supplied to young adults increased by one due to a mid-term vacancy, and among the newlywed couples who passed the document screening, only 43 participated in the event, so the remaining 7 units will be additionally recruited.

As a result of the lottery ceremony, 51 young adults and 43 newlywed couples were finally selected. Including 10 reserve tenants who will be additionally selected in case of withdrawal, a total of 104 tenants and reserve tenants have been finalized.

Gu Bok-gyu, Governor of Hwasun County, said at the lottery ceremony, "I feel proud that the Hwasun 10,000 Won rental housing is being expanded to other local governments, but I also feel a heavier responsibility," adding, "We will strive to make Hwasun a place where young people can live without worries about housing, jobs, and even child-rearing."

The winners of this lottery can move in from the end of June and must complete their resident registration with Hwasun County within 14 days after moving in.

Meanwhile, Hwasun County started the 10,000 Won rental housing support project in 2023 to stabilize housing for young adults and newlywed couples. Last year, a total of 100 units were occupied, divided into 50 units each in the first and second halves of the year. This year, the demand backlog was quickly resolved by recruiting 100 units in the first half. In 2025, an additional 100 units of 20-pyeong apartments are planned to be supplied.
