Recruitment of Geumcheon-gu Youth Unification Reporters and Musical Members

Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) announced that it is recruiting youth participants for the community-led Peaceful Unification Education Project, the "Nalgae Project."

The "Nalgae Project" is a program where youth participate in unification-related reporter activities, musical production and performances, and peace unification excursions.

The project aims to enhance youths' sensitivity to peaceful unification through unification-related activities and to form and spread a unification consensus within the local community.

To promote the project, the district will recruit 20 members each for the "Nalgae Reporters" and the "Musical Troupe" starting from May 27. The "Nalgae Reporters" will be selected from 3rd to 6th graders in local elementary schools, while the "Musical Troupe" will target 5th to 6th graders in elementary school and all grades of middle school students.

The "Nalgae Reporters" will engage in peace unification education, reporter writing training, experiential activities, and peace unification excursions from July to October. During this process, the youth will actively conduct reporting activities on the theme of peaceful unification and write articles expressing their thoughts.

The "Musical Troupe" will participate in all stages of musical production from July to August, including theoretical education, creative workshops, role assignments, rehearsals, and the final performance.

The district plans to hold a performance sharing event around November, compiling the activities and achievements of both the reporters and the musical troupe. Outstanding articles written by the reporters will be published in local newspapers and the Geumcheon newsletter, and videos of the musical troupe’s performances will be shared with the community through the district office’s official YouTube channel and other platforms.

Students wishing to participate can apply online starting May 27 through the district office website under "Integrated Reservation (Other Reservations)."

Yu Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, stated, “Through the active participation and creative activities of the future unification generation, we hope that the hearts of youth will grow healthily and that their wishes for peace and unification will be widely spread throughout the local community.”
