Healing Walk in the Nakdonggang Garden in Busan... 'Healing Garden Walk' Experience Program Offered

From May 31 to the end of October, every 1st and 3rd Friday, held 10 times in total

The Nakdong River Management Headquarters of Busan City will operate the "Healing Garden Walk" experience program at the Busan Nakdong River Garden from May 31 to the end of October.

Healing Walk in the Nakdonggang Garden in Busan... 'Healing Garden Walk' Experience Program Offered Lotus Garden Path Walk (Distance approximately 2.4 km, Estimated time about 2 hours).

This program has been prepared to promote the physical and mental health of participating citizens through various activities within the Busan Nakdong River Garden, as well as to spread and popularize a citizen-participatory garden culture.


Starting May 31, the program will be held at 10 a.m. on the first and third Fridays of each month until the end of October, for a total of 10 sessions.


The program will be conducted in a format where a garden docent accompanies participants, exploring the plants of the Busan Nakdong River Garden and experiencing various physical activities together.


Participants will walk about 2.4 kilometers within the Busan Nakdong River Garden with a garden docent, experiencing activities such as: greeting and warm-up exercises, appreciating lotuses and water lilies, learning about reeds and silver grass, walking on the health exercise trail, and following the person in front on the acupressure path. The program lasts about two hours.


Any citizen (adult) interested in the Busan Nakdong River Garden can participate free of charge. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis (20 people per session) through the city's integrated reservation system.


Applications for participation open on the Monday of the week the program is held.


Kim Yujin, head of the Nakdong River Management Headquarters, said, "Following the previous citizen gardener training program, we have now prepared an experience program that everyone can enjoy. We hope that, through the various programs organized to mark the registration of Busan's first local garden, modern people exhausted by their busy daily lives will find time to recover a healthy life in the garden."
