Hanseo University Selected as 'Advanced Field Innovation Convergence University' for 2024

Hanseo University has been selected as a participating university in the 'Advanced Field Innovation Convergence University' program organized by the Ministry of Education and the National Research Foundation of Korea in 2024.


According to Hanseo University on the 24th, Hanseo University, along with Dankook University as the lead institution, Kyung Hee University, Hoseo University, Chungbuk Health Science University, and Chungcheongnam-do, has established the 'Next-Generation Display Innovation Convergence University Consortium' and will receive a total of 40.8 billion KRW in funding over four years.

The Advanced Field Innovation Convergence University project aims to cultivate core talents in advanced fields regardless of major through convergence, openness, and cooperation to bridge the educational capability gaps between regions and universities.


The next-generation display field plans to nurture regional talents through five specialized tracks?display materials, devices and optics, driving systems, design, and eco-display?in line with the designation of Chungnam as a national advanced strategic industry specialized complex.


In particular, Hanseo University intends to develop educational content that is easily accessible regardless of major, based on design and convergence capabilities related to the characteristics of the next-generation display industry, including engineering design elements and user experience-based problem-solving skills, as well as to establish infrastructure focused on prototype production and demonstration.


Kim Hyun-sung, Vice President for Industry-Academia Cooperation and head of Hanseo University's team, expressed his ambition, stating, "Through the Innovation Convergence University, we will break down the boundaries inside and outside the university, develop convergence and fusion courses across new technology fields, support diverse employment and entrepreneurship opportunities for participating students, and promote multifaceted collaboration such as entering the global market through participation in the U.S. 'CES (Consumer Electronics Show)' linked with industry."
