On the 24th, Seoul Nonghyup is participating in the "2024 Seoul Urban Agriculture Expo" held at the Yeouido Hangang Park event plaza, sharing companion plants and promoting the hometown love donation system and Nonghyup thank-you gifts within Seoul.
Seoul Nonghyup will participate in the '2024 Seoul Urban Agriculture Expo' held for two days from the 24th to the 25th at the Yeouido Hangang Park event plaza, operating a booth to promote the Hometown Love Donation Program and thank-you gifts from Nonghyup branches within Seoul.
At this expo, Seoul Nonghyup will showcase Gangseo Nonghyup's Gyeongbokgung rice and Dongseoul Nonghyup's Royal pear, produced in Seoul, to highlight the significance of the Hometown Love Donation Program and actively promote the thank-you gifts from Nonghyup branches within Seoul.
To build consensus for participation in the Hometown Love Donation Program, leaflets about the program and promotional gifts (potted companion plants) will be distributed to citizens visiting the booth.
The Hometown Love Donation Program allows individuals to donate up to 5 million KRW annually to local governments other than their registered address. The local governments use the donations for resident welfare improvement projects. Donors receive tax benefits and can choose thank-you gifts worth up to 30% of the donation amount.
Kim Sang-su, head of Seoul Nonghyup, said, "The Hometown Love Donation Program is a meaningful system that allows people to simultaneously support agriculture and rural communities, as well as expand sales channels and promote consumption of agricultural and livestock products. We also ask for much interest in the thank-you gifts produced by Nonghyup branches within Seoul, such as Gyeongbokgung rice and Royal pears."
