Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital (Director Min Jeong-jun) announced on the 24th that it has donated 3 million won to support the stable independence of young adults preparing for self-reliance.
The donation was delivered to the World Vision Gwangju Jeonnam Headquarters and will be used for medical expenses and support funds for dreams and treatment preparation for young adults preparing for independence.
The donation ceremony held the day before at the Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital meeting room was attended by Director Min Jeong-jun, Head Nurse Lee Ae-kyung, Jeong Byeong-won, Head of the World Vision Gwangju Jeonnam Headquarters, and Kwon Bong-min, Welfare Project Team Leader.
Jeong Byeong-won, Head of the Headquarters, said, “This year, we plan to focus on operating support programs for young adults preparing for independence. Thanks to the hospital’s help, many young people have been able to pursue university admission and workplace training,” adding, “We will strive to help young people not give up on their dreams and continue their efforts.”
The World Vision Gwangju Jeonnam Headquarters operates programs such as housing stability moving support, Hanmaeum Camp, dream support, psychological therapy support, and medical security programs to help young adults preparing for independence in the region prepare for their future.
Director Min Jeong-jun said, “We support World Vision, which is working hard to carry out various projects for young adults preparing for independence and vulnerable children,” and added, “We will actively participate not only in providing donations but also in projects where the hospital can offer assistance.”
Meanwhile, Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital and World Vision signed a social welfare support business agreement in May last year and have been carrying out social welfare support projects to restore health and realize happiness for vulnerable groups.
