Exhibition of AMI and AI-Based Challenge Monitoring System
Nuriplex, a specialized company in energy IoT platforms, announced on the 24th that it participated in the '2024 Enlit Africa' held at the International Convention Centre in Cape Town, South Africa, from the 21st to the 23rd.
The Enlit Africa exhibition is an international energy exhibition focused on addressing the energy infrastructure shortages in African countries. Nuriplex has been participating since last year.
Nuriplex introduced its AI-based tampering monitoring system and online prepaid AMI solutions mainly to power authorities across Africa, who are struggling with energy loss issues caused by illegal electricity use and aging equipment, and conducted business meetings.
The tampering monitoring system showcased by Nuriplex is equipped with AI-based deep learning capabilities that enable it to self-learn and analyze data, providing a solution that monitors illegal electricity use and abnormal energy losses 24 hours a day and alerts users accordingly.
Nuriplex was the only AMI company to exhibit an AI-based tampering monitoring solution. Power authorities and private developers facing difficulties due to energy losses, including illegal electricity use, showed interest in the tampering monitoring solution.
CEO Han Jeong-hoon said, "We have been dedicated to pioneering the African AMI market for the past 10 years," adding, "Based on project experiences in Ghana, Ethiopia, and others, we are focusing our efforts on developing the Southern and Western African markets, including South Africa, the largest market in Africa."
He continued, "We plan to focus on expanding the African market with Nuriplex’s AI-based tampering monitoring system and prepaid AMI system, especially in regions where tampering frequently occurs."
