Exporting to 15 Countries Based on Excellent Product Quality
Steady Employment and Growth... 50% Youth Employment Rate
"Wow, this feels so refreshing. It feels like my turtle neck is almost straightened out," exclaimed voices echoed throughout the acupressure bed experience center inside the ThreeH headquarters in Dong-gu, Daegu on the 23rd. These were the words of people lying on the 'Acupressure Thermal Bed', which anyone visiting ThreeH can try. This bed is a Class 2 combination medical device product that combines a personal heating device, a bed, and a medical vibrator. It integrates traditional Korean Chuna therapy with Western chiropractic treatment to provide acupressure and massage along the spine?from the neck, back, and waist to the tailbone. ThreeH, a company that manufactures and sells home medical devices, has recently been recognized as a promising small and medium enterprise in the spinal medical device market with this acupressure bed.

On that day, Youngjae Jeong, CEO of ThreeH, expressed pride in the acupressure bed, calling it "the world's only bed that can provide sleep, spinal correction, and massage all at once." He explained the background of the product development, saying, "I had been involved in the acupressure mat business since 2002, but I re-started the business with the conviction that an acupressure thermal bed would not be developed within 100 years." After years of research, ThreeH's acupressure bed, which applies patented technology, maximizes massage effects by vertically raising 62 acupressure rods to concentrate pressure locally, thereby increasing blood flow. This differs from conventional massage devices that use air pockets or rolling types to stroke the skin during massage.
ThreeH's acupressure bed serves as a sleep bed that aids restful sleep through pain relief and thermal therapy and is also used as a non-surgical massage device for patients in hospitals. CEO Jeong said, "It is used in welfare centers, nursing homes, and places with many musculoskeletal disorders such as fire stations and public institution dormitories." He added, "Especially for students who spend a lot of time sitting, suffering from scoliosis and turtle neck, we are increasing installations in schools to help correct these conditions."
ThreeH is conducting clinical trials on post-surgery rehabilitation using the acupressure bed in collaboration with Kyungpook National University Hospital. A company official explained, "So far, we have accumulated data through pilot studies on rehabilitation treatment with Seoul National University, Daegu Haany University, and Gangneung-Wonju National University," adding, "Based on this, we are preparing clinical trials on muscle relaxation effects and rehabilitation."
ThreeH is also recognized overseas for its excellent product quality. It exports to more than 15 countries including the UK, China, and Australia, and operates local subsidiaries in the US and Vietnam to secure global market channels. It was the first in Korea to be selected as a Medicare medical device item in the US. Additionally, it is preparing to participate in the Osaka exhibition in Japan this fall and the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in the US next year.

ThreeH has maintained a youth employment rate of over 50% through connections with Kyungil University’s early employment contract department and others. At ThreeH’s first factory located in the Daegu Innovation City Medical R&D district, young employees were noticeably more prevalent compared to other manufacturing plants. CEO Jeong explained, "Since the company is growing, we try to hire many young talents," adding, "We are making efforts to improve working conditions." Based on this, the company was recognized for its social contribution through local job creation and received the grand prize in the youth employment promotion category.
In the factory, automated packaging machines and container lifts were moving alongside employees to reduce the risk associated with moving heavy objects. Based on these improvements in the working environment, ThreeH has maintained steady growth and employment since its establishment in 2014. Starting with 5 employees, it now has 191 employees. The average annual employment growth rate over 10 years is 73%.
CEO Jeong said, "We plan to go public as early as next year," and explained, "Since sales and performance are solid, we believe it is quite feasible and are currently scouting for underwriters." ThreeH’s sales last year were 61.8 billion KRW, with an average annual growth rate of 70.8%. In July, construction of the third factory on a 37,500-pyeong (approx. 123,900 m²) site in Sejong City’s Smart Green City will begin.
ThreeH is diversifying its product lineup to become a comprehensive healthcare company based on the acupressure bed. It is developing health aids and its own cosmetics brand. CEO Jeong said, "I am most encouraged when I receive messages that patients who suffered from spinal diseases for a long time have improved," adding, "Our ultimate goal is to help many people improve their quality of life and live healthily and happily through ThreeH’s products."
