Gyeongbuk Province to Train 300 Eco-friendly Vehicle Maintenance Specialists... Training Entrusted to Yeungnam University College An eco-friendly car electric motor theory and practice training session is underway.

This training is being implemented in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for 'Training of Field Specialists for Future-Oriented (Eco-Friendly) Automobiles' signed by the three organizations in September last year. It aims to proactively respond to the increasing demand for electric vehicle maintenance driven by industrial technological advancements.

The training, conducted at Yeungnam University College (Smart e-Mobility Support Center), will select 25 specialized maintenance professionals from different regions for each of the four sessions, with the goal of training 100 specialists annually and a total of 300 over three years. There are 2,151 specialized automobile maintenance businesses in Gyeongbuk, employing 2,582 people.

The main curriculum focuses on field practice related to eco-friendly vehicles, including safety guidelines for electric shock and fire, electric vehicle troubleshooting and diagnostics, and battery repair. The detailed curriculum covers essential field inspection topics such as high-voltage device fire prevention measures, electric vehicle insulation suits, tool management, electric motors, battery assembly components, HPCU scanner diagnostics, and battery removal and installation for electric and hybrid vehicles.

Gyeongbuk Province expects that by training 300 specialists, residents will be able to receive eco-friendly vehicle maintenance services anywhere in the province, and that the advancement of maintenance technology will help modernize the maintenance industry.

Choi Youngsook, Director of the Economic and Industrial Bureau of Gyeongbuk Province, stated, "As the adoption of eco-friendly vehicles increases, we are providing this training to ensure the safety of drivers and maintenance business operators in the province," and added, "We hope this training will be a valuable opportunity for the development of Gyeongbuk's automobile maintenance industry and for enhancing the maintenance skills of specialized personnel."
