On the 22nd, a post stating "I will carry out a stabbing at Seoul Station on the 24th and kill 50 people" was published on the online community 'DC Inside.'

The police relayed this information to related agencies including the National Intelligence Service and the Railroad Police, and requested manpower support from the Railroad Police. Additionally, they decided to strengthen patrols around Seoul Station.
