The Korea Rural Community Corporation Hwasun Branch (Branch Manager Kim Gijin) announced on the 23rd that it conducted an emergency response drill for reservoirs to prepare for heavy rain and wind and flood disasters.
The drill was organized to prepare for disasters related to the rapidly increasing weather anomalies during the summer season, aiming to ensure the safety of residents through thorough countermeasures and to enable prompt response in case of disaster occurrence.

The drill was conducted based on a scenario that closely resembled an actual situation and included various response procedures to maintain the safety of the reservoir and assist in evacuating residents.
Not only employees of the Korea Rural Community Corporation but also local residents, Hwasun County officials, fire station, police station, and various other agencies participated, providing an opportunity to reaffirm the importance of cooperation and communication.
Kim Gijin, Branch Manager of Hwasun, said, “Through this drill, we were able to further strengthen our emergency response capabilities related to reservoir management,” and added, “We will continue to do our best to respond quickly and systematically in actual situations to protect the lives and property of residents.”
He continued, “In future drills, we will pilot a disaster prediction system utilizing advanced equipment and technology to establish measures that can respond promptly before disasters occur.”
