Heartfelt Homemade Flavors Delivered to Areas Near the Power Plant

Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Human Resources Development Institute (President Lee Hanyong, Labor Union Branch Head Yoo Jihwan) held a traditional market shopping event and a side dish sharing event for local vulnerable groups in cooperation with Uljoo Food Bank Market on the 23rd.

Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Human Resources Development Institute, Labor-Management Joint Side Dish Sharing Volunteer Activity Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Talent Development Institute conducted a volunteer activity distributing side dishes to vulnerable groups.

This event, jointly planned by labor and management to revitalize traditional markets in the Uljoo area and support vulnerable local groups, involved employees directly visiting Namchang Onggijonggi Market to purchase local agricultural products such as meat and vegetables worth about 1 million won. The institute’s kitchen staff then prepared side dishes and delivered them to 40 households in the nearby vulnerable community.


Additionally, during the event, around 100 integrity culture shopping bags prepared by the institute were distributed to market visitors, providing a meaningful opportunity to promote the integrity and transparency of public institutions in the region.


Lee Hanyong, President of the Human Resources Development Institute, said, “In celebration of Family Month in May, I am especially proud that our employees could serve the community using funds voluntarily raised throughout the year. As a public institution, we will continue to seek ways to contribute to regional coexistence.”


The Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Human Resources Development Institute is a specialized educational institution for nurturing talent for KHNP and its partner companies. The institute continues to carry out community service activities every year, utilizing its own infrastructure for initiatives such as donating educational books to local children’s centers, running science experience programs, and providing side dish volunteer services for vulnerable groups.
