SCNG Successfully Completes Semiconductor Specialty Gas Production Plant for US ALAM Korea

SC Engineering announced on the 23rd that it successfully completed the semiconductor process specialty gas production plant construction project initiated by the U.S. company Air Liquide Advanced Materials Korea (ALAM Korea, hereinafter ALAM Korea) in Jeonui Industrial Complex, Sejong City, and attended the completion ceremony held at the project site.

In 2022, SC Engineering won a large-scale project worth 68.9 billion KRW from ALAM Korea and carried out the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) in an integrated manner. ALAM Korea is a subsidiary of the Air Liquide Group and a global company manufacturing specialty gases and chemicals used in semiconductor, display, and solar cell process materials.

Jeon Seong-yong, Head of the Engineering Division at SC Engineering, who oversaw the project, said, “The commissioning results achieved high purity and yield of the products, and we responded promptly to the client’s needs, advancing the initial production schedule ahead of plan. SC Engineering has established a solid position through various clients and projects in the semiconductor specialty gas field. In addition, through systematic, prevention-oriented safety management activities, the company has achieved a record of zero (0) major accidents for 53 consecutive years. The company expects that this successful project completion will further strengthen its competitiveness in securing orders.
