Corporate Presentation for Analysts and Institutions Held on the 22nd
Financial information company FnGuide announced on the 23rd that it held a corporate presentation for analysts and institutional investors to announce plans to enhance corporate value.
At the corporate presentation held the previous day in Yeouido, Seoul, FnGuide presented an analysis of the current situation and issues based on corporate value and market evaluation, goal setting for enhancing corporate value, and growth strategies and plans to achieve those goals, based on the guidelines of the corporate value-up program.
FnGuide analyzed key indicators that can assess corporate value and market evaluation, such as operating profit, return on equity (ROE), price-earnings ratio (PER), price-to-book ratio (PBR), and the status of each business division. As a result, it judged that trust in future growth declined due to past failures in implementing growth strategies, lack of communication with investors, and inefficiency of capital.
Accordingly, it set four tasks to enhance corporate value: △ improving growth △ strengthening investor communication △ increasing asset efficiency △ reinforcing shareholder return policies.
To achieve these goals, the company announced growth strategies and plans for new business ventures and expansion of existing businesses, including △ expanding B2C services △ strengthening index capabilities △ establishing a retirement pension division △ expanding the use of artificial intelligence (AI). Along with this, it established a mid- to long-term dividend policy for exemplary shareholder returns and recently announced a decision to cancel treasury shares as part of its shareholder return policy.
FnGuide explained, "As a measure to strengthen investor communication, we will strive to enhance IR credibility through quarterly corporate presentations and feedback via the board of directors on business plans," adding, "We will increase compliance with key governance indicators to improve management transparency and strengthen efficiency."
Lee Cheol-soon, CEO of FnGuide, said, "This corporate value enhancement presentation will be an opportunity for FnGuide and all employees to undergo a new transformation," and added, "Having faithfully served as an investment guide for capital market investors for 25 years, we will also strive to faithfully implement corporate value enhancement."
