KG Mobility has launched three mid-size taxi-exclusive models, including electric vehicles and bi-fuel LPG options.
On the 23rd, KGM introduced three mid-size taxis: the Torres EVX Taxi, Korando EV Taxi, and Torres Bi-fuel LPG Taxi.
First, KGM released two electric sport utility vehicle (SUV) taxis: the Torres EVX Taxi and Korando EV Taxi. Both vehicles are equipped with a 73.4kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) blade battery. The 152.2kW front-wheel-drive motor delivers a maximum output of 207 horsepower (ps) and a peak torque of 34.6 kgf·m. The Torres EVX Taxi can travel 433 km on a single charge, while the Korando EV Taxi can cover 401 km.
The price of the Torres EVX Taxi is 41.5 million KRW for individual taxi operators under simplified taxation and 45.65 million KRW for corporate and individual taxi operators under general taxation. Depending on regional electric vehicle taxi subsidies, it can be purchased for around 33 million KRW (based on Seoul city standards).
The Korando EV Taxi is priced at 39.39 million KRW for individual taxi operators under simplified taxation and 43.3 million KRW for corporate and individual taxi operators under general taxation. With regional electric vehicle taxi subsidies, it can be purchased for around 31 million KRW (based on Seoul city standards).
KGM offers industry-leading warranty periods considering the high mileage typical of taxis, including a 10-year/1 million km free warranty on the high-voltage battery, a 10-year/160,000 km warranty on the drive motor, and a 5-year/100,000 km warranty on general parts.

Meanwhile, the Torres Bi-fuel LPG Taxi uses both a gasoline engine and highly economical LPG, allowing users to enjoy the advantages of each fuel type. It can reduce fuel costs by approximately 30% (about 1.37 million KRW annually) compared to gasoline models. Equipped with a donut-shaped 58ℓ LPG tank and a 50ℓ gasoline tank, it can travel over 1,000 km on a full charge.
The Torres Bi-fuel LPG Taxi is priced at 28.1 million KRW for individual taxi operators under simplified taxation (LPG conversion VAT exempt) and 30.91 million KRW for corporate and individual taxi operators under general taxation.
KGM’s three taxi models come with numerous standard safety and convenience features designed for taxi drivers who drive for extended periods. They have a rapid A/S infrastructure to prevent business losses, including emergency parts procurement operations, and feature dedicated wiring for installing commercial meters and security lights. The eco-friendly '3D TPV mat,' which prevents floor contamination and is easy to clean, is standard. Additionally, a separate auxiliary heater system (optional for electric taxi models) is available for efficient battery management during winter.
A KGM representative stated, "To respond to changes in the taxi market, we simultaneously launched three taxi models to expand customer choices. Through product configurations that include cutting-edge convenience features for both drivers and passengers, we aim to provide the best riding experience."
