National Youth Sports Festival to Be Held in Mokpo from the 25th to the 28th

Hamyang County Governor Jin Byeongyeong encouraged the athletes who will participate in the 105th National Youth Sports Festival, which will be held in Mokpo, Jeollanam-do from the 25th to the 28th.

On the afternoon of the 22nd, at 2 p.m. in the governor's office, Governor Jin met with eight participants, including athletes and coaches. He told the track and field athletes and the coaches who have worked hard to improve the athletes' skills, "Achieving good results is important, but above all, health is the top priority. Since you are representing Hamyang County, please do your best to prepare so that you can fully demonstrate the skills you have honed so far."


In this National Youth Sports Festival, Jeon Daehyeok (3rd grade, Hamyang Middle School) will compete in the 110m hurdles, Park Jimin (3rd grade, Hamyang Middle School) in the 800m run, Oh Taehwa (3rd grade, Hamyang Girls' Middle School) in long jump and triple jump, Choi Jian (1st grade, Hamyang Girls' Middle School) in judo, and Choi Yena (6th grade, Wiseong Elementary School) in taekwondo sparring. Coaches Jeon Junwoo (Hamyang Middle School), Park Jichang (Hamyang Judo Association), and Choi Sunghoon (Wiseong Elementary School) will also participate.


Meanwhile, the 105th National Youth Sports Festival, hosted by the Korea Sports Council and organized by Jeollanam-do, Jeonnam Office of Education, and Jeonnam Sports Council, will see around 18,000 participants competing in 36 events over four days from the 25th to the 28th at Mokpo Sports Complex and other venues in Mokpo.
