Promotion of Technology Transfer
On the 23rd, the Korea Technology Finance Corporation announced that it held the '2024 Gwangju-Jeonnam Region University and Research Institute Promising Technology Presentation and Consultation Meeting' at the Gwangju Innobiz Center for joint marketing of promising technologies from universities and research institutes.
This event was hosted by seven organizations including the Kibo Gwangju Technology Innovation Center, Chonnam National University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation, and Gwangju Technopark, and was organized by the ‘KJ-BRIDGE Council,’ which was formed to promote technology convergence and commercialization in the Gwangju-Jeonnam region.

About 120 participants attended the presentation, including small and medium venture companies promoting open innovation and officials from technology transaction-related organizations. In particular, 40 promising technologies in the fields of health functional foods, eco-friendly materials, and battery recycling, held by 11 universities and research institutes in the Gwangju-Jeonnam region, were disclosed.

Kim Seong-tae, head of Kibo Honam Regional Headquarters, said, “This event is significant as it lays the foundation to support open innovation for small and medium enterprises in the Gwangju-Jeonnam region,” adding, “We will continue to promote collaboration with universities and related organizations to expand the ecosystem of key regional industries and strengthen the competitiveness of small and medium enterprises.”
