The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education is hosting a purchasing expo for products made by persons with severe disabilities.
On the 23rd, the Office announced that it will hold the "2024 Purchasing Expo for Products Made by Persons with Severe Disabilities" on June 11 at the Suwon Southern Office Building. Since 2017, the Office has been holding this expo annually to promote and sell products made by persons with severe disabilities within the province.
This year, 49 production facilities for products made by persons with disabilities and the Educational Institution Electronic Procurement System (S2B) will participate. More than 100 types of products and services will be available for purchase and consultation, including office supplies, daily necessities, food products, as well as service items such as disinfection and quarantine, cleaning, and document shredding.
The event will be held both in-person and online simultaneously. Participants include staff from the Office of Education, affiliated institutions, education support offices, all schools in the province, and residents of Gyeonggi-do.
Each institution can select the necessary goods and services and apply by emailing the person in charge at the Gyeonggi Disabled Persons' Product Sales Facility or purchase through the shopping mall (https://www.gom.or.kr/).
Park Manyoung, Director of Financial Management at the Office of Education, stated, "The purchasing expo for products made by persons with severe disabilities will help not only the self-sufficiency of persons with severe disabilities but also the revitalization of the local economy." He added, "Even after the expo period, we hope that all members of the Gyeonggi education family will continue to purchase products made by persons with severe disabilities."
