Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Pil-hyung) announced on the 23rd that it has selected the district's representative fragrance and plans to utilize it in various fields going forward.

The selected Dongdaemun-gu representative fragrance, "Green Narae," is characterized by a fresh and refreshing scent based on bergamot (orange + citron).

On the 10th, a first preference survey was conducted targeting residents and district office employees in the lobby on the first floor of Dongdaemun-gu Office. The representative fragrance was selected based on votes and feedback from residents who directly experienced the scent at the Knowledge Flower Garden (Jeonnong-dong 691-3), where the Garden Festival was held on May 11.

The development of the fragrance sample and the selection of the representative fragrance were carried out in collaboration with fragrance experts.

A district official stated, "To ensure residents can receive civil services in a pleasant atmosphere, we plan to utilize the Dongdaemun-gu representative fragrance 'Green Narae' in various ways, such as installing scent diffusers in the civil service office on the first floor of the district office and conducting 'aromatherapy education' to relieve stress for civil service staff."

The district is currently using the representative fragrance "Green Narae" in "scent education" to help stabilize the emotions of users at public facilities (mental health welfare centers, senior citizen centers, etc.).
