Green Bio Venture Campus to be Established in Yesan, Chungnam... Completion by 2026

Approval of Ministry of Agriculture's Basic Plan... Establishing Industrial Ecosystem in Green Bio Sector, Discovering Promising Venture Companies

A Green Bio Venture Campus will be established in Yesan, Chungnam.

The province announced on the 22nd that it has received final approval for the Green Bio Venture Campus basic plan from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.

Accordingly, the province will invest 25.5 billion KRW to build the Green Bio Venture Campus within the Naepo Agricultural Life Convergence Industry Cluster in Yesan County. Construction is planned to begin in the first half of next year, with completion targeted for 2026.

The Venture Campus will play a role in creating an industrial ecosystem in the green bio sector and discovering promising venture companies.

The province plans to establish a one-stop integrated support system that develops and produces raw material crops directly in smart farms within the cluster, secures sales channels through companies such as The Born Korea Co., Ltd., and supports enterprises by utilizing green bio funds.

Ahn Ho, Director of the Industry and Economy Office, said, "The Green Bio Venture Campus is significant as the starting point of the Naepo Agricultural Life Convergence Industry Cluster," adding, "We will do our best to complete the work faster than venture campuses in other cities and provinces to secure growth engines in the agriculture and food sector."
