Muan County Council's 'Children's Council Experience Activity'... Mock Council Experience

Lawmakers and Staff Welcome Children Wearing Bow Ties

The Muan County Council in Jeollanam-do (Chairman Kim Kyung-hyun) announced on the 22nd that it conducted a children's council experience activity for the children of the Eco-friendly Green Daycare Center.

The council experience activity was held with a total of 60 participants, including 53 children and 7 accompanying teachers.

The council experience event, held in the main conference room on the 3rd floor of the Muan County Council building, proceeded in the order of meeting with Chairman Kim Kyung-hyun and council members of Muan County, touring the council facilities, watching promotional videos, and explaining the functions and roles of the basic council.

The Muan County Council experience activity is operated not only for children but also for students attending elementary, middle, and high schools in the area to inform them about the functions and roles of local councils and provide an opportunity to personally feel the importance of grassroots democracy. It consists of local autonomy education and mock council experiences.

Chairman Kim Kyung-hyun said, “Through this council experience activity, I hope that children visiting the council and experiencing the site firsthand could have a meaningful time to become familiar with democracy and local autonomy and broaden their horizons,” adding, “The doors of the Muan County Council are always open so that local children and youth can experience and learn about the council.”

Meanwhile, the council members and staff of Muan County wore butterfly bow ties to warmly welcome the children, giving them unforgettable memories.
