HD Hyundai Heavy Industries held a sponsorship fund delivery ceremony for the 1% Sharing Foundation Happy Supporters Project Contest at its Ulsan headquarters on the 22nd, and announced that it donated approximately 18 million KRW to four local welfare facilities.
Now in its second year, the '1% Sharing Foundation Happy Supporters Project Contest' is a program that implements social contribution activity ideas proposed by HD Hyundai Heavy Industries and its partner company employees into actual welfare projects, enabling vulnerable groups to directly benefit.
This year, four projects were selected: ▲ 'Skate Experience' for children with intellectual disabilities (proposed by Manager Lee Chang-woo, Hyejinwon) ▲ 'Happy Smile,' a healing program to enhance leisure activities for seniors aged 60 and above (proposed by Manager Kim Hang-rae, Nam-gu Comprehensive Social Welfare Center) ▲ 'Beautiful Companionship,' a social awareness improvement project for protected persons (proposed by Officer Oh Jeong-cheol, Ulsan Branch of Korea Rehabilitation Welfare Corporation) ▲ 'Hwayangyeonhwa,' longevity photo shoots for vulnerable elderly (proposed by CEO Jang Se-gon of Haerin Co., Ltd., Dong-gu Hwajeong Comprehensive Welfare Center).

HD Hyundai Heavy Industries went beyond simple sponsorship fund delivery by linking the talent donations of in-house clubs such as the Korea Masters Association, Son Saranghoe, Hyundai Photo Club, and Hyundai Ice Club, thereby significantly increasing employee participation and the effectiveness of social contribution activities.
An HD Hyundai Heavy Industries official said, "We are very satisfied with the Happy Supporters Project as it allows us to provide practical help to neighbors in need in the community by utilizing employees' innovative social contribution ideas," adding, "We will continue to work together with all employees to create a hopeful local community."
