Songpa-gu will conduct a thorough cleaning of 27 community service centers by the end of this month. Provided by Songpa-gu.
Songpa-gu, Seoul (Mayor Seo Gang-seok) announced on the 22nd that it is conducting a thorough cleaning of 27 community service centers in the district from last month through this month to provide the best administrative services. Since the beginning of the 8th term of the elected government, Songpa-gu has been carrying out extensive cleaning of community service centers every spring using specialized equipment.
This cleaning not only targets the civil service offices but also includes lobbies and staircases on each floor, thoroughly wiping every corner frequently used by residents to remove the grime accumulated over the winter. Additionally, waxing and coating are applied to prevent contamination and enhance durability, thereby improving user convenience.
Considering that the community service centers will be used as cooling shelters during the upcoming summer, cleaning of air conditioner filters and cooling units is also being conducted simultaneously at all 27 centers.
Meanwhile, following the completion of spring cleaning in March, which included maintenance of bus stops, information signs, and election campaign banners, the district operates a “Clean Day” on the fourth Wednesday of every month until the end of the year to encourage residents to voluntarily participate in local cleaning activities.
Mayor Seo Gang-seok explained, “Maintaining the cleanliness of the community office buildings to provide residents with a pleasant environment increases trust in administration and demonstrates an attitude of service.”
