Jin Gyo-hoon, Mayor of Gangseo District Office in Seoul, conducted an on-site safety inspection on the afternoon of the 21st by visiting construction sites and landslide-prone areas within the district.
Mayor Jin, who has consistently emphasized field-centered close administration, first headed to the construction site of the integrated Gangseo District Office building in Magok-dong.
Together with disaster safety-related departments and private experts, he thoroughly inspected potential safety hazards throughout the construction site. He also checked the working conditions of on-site workers and compliance with safety regulations, urging special attention to residents' inconveniences caused by noise and dust, as well as to the prevention of safety accidents.
Next, he visited the landslide-prone area of Gaehwasan Mountain to inspect the condition of drainage systems in preparation for heavy rains during the summer monsoon season.
Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon stated, “As the construction period lengthens, the tension tends to loosen compared to the early stages, increasing the risk of safety accidents. Please maintain vigilance and make every effort to prevent safety accidents until the construction is completed.”
Meanwhile, the district office will conduct intensive safety inspections targeting a total of 53 locations, including construction sites, landslide-prone areas, medical institutions, daycare centers, senior citizen centers, and welfare facilities, until June 21.
