After meeting with the former president on the 21st, Chairman Hwang told reporters, "Meeting after a long time brought back many old memories. When I served as floor leader, I worked closely with the president on issues such as the Korea-US Free Trade Agreement (FTA) and the National Assembly Advancement Act," adding, "The president asked the party to unite and, as the ruling party, to work together with the government for national development."

When asked if he discussed political issues with the former president, he replied, "(The president) was reserved about current issues," and added, "Above all, he said that we should coordinate with the government in advance and show a united ruling party image." He also said that he is "in the process of scheduling" a visit to former President Moon Jae-in on the 23rd.

Floor Leader Choo visited former President Lee after Chairman Hwang left. After the visit, Choo told reporters, "It was really a long time since I last visited former President Lee. Personally, I served as the Blue House Economic and Financial Secretary and Head of the Emergency Economic Situation Room during his administration, so I had the opportunity to closely assist the president," adding, "Since I am serving as floor leader during difficult times, he encouraged me to unite the party well and overcome the hardships."

Regarding the opinion expressed by People Power Party lawmaker Yoo Ui-dong that he would vote in favor of the re-vote on the special prosecutor law for Chae Sang-byung, Floor Leader Choo said, "Most lawmakers are aligned with the established policy, and although a very small number of lawmakers express various views that I cannot directly confirm, overall, the lawmakers share the same intention."

When asked whether he would join Chairman Hwang, who is known to be visiting former President Moon, on the schedule, he replied, "I will consider various schedules," leaving room for possibility.
