Changnyeong County Allocates Additional 57.9 Billion Won in First Supplementary Budget Proposal

Resolving Resident Inconvenience ... Promoting Key Projects and Focused Budget Allocation

Changnyeong County in South Gyeongsang Province has increased the first supplementary budget by a total of 57.9 billion KRW and will submit it for review by the county council starting from the 22nd.


If this supplementary budget is approved, the total budget for Changnyeong County this year will increase to 722.4 billion KRW, combining the original budget and the supplementary budget. By account, the general account will increase by 43.8 billion KRW to 665.5 billion KRW, while the special accounts, including the water and sewage public enterprises, will increase by 14.1 billion KRW to 56.9 billion KRW.

The county explained that this supplementary budget was focused on allocating funds to essential projects, considering the challenging revenue conditions, to resolve inconveniences for residents and ensure the smooth progress of current key initiatives.


The main projects included in the budget are: ▲ 1.5 billion KRW for the development of a hot spring city ▲ 1.5 billion KRW for the construction of a park golf course in the central region ▲ 1 billion KRW for land compensation for the Okcheon Reservoir trail project ▲ 1.6 billion KRW for the Daehap IC installation project ▲ 1.9 billion KRW for the construction of a medium-scale LPG pipeline network in Yeongsan-myeon ▲ 1.3 billion KRW for local investment promotion subsidies ▲ 800 million KRW for the Gyori District disaster prevention and living environment improvement project ▲ 1 billion KRW for the sewage pipeline maintenance project in Bugok-myeon, Bugok and Wondong ▲ 600 million KRW for youth farmer settlement support ▲ 500 million KRW for the detailed design service for the Agricultural Technology Center's scientific farming integrated facility.


County Governor Sung Nakin stated, "As this year marks the turning point of the 8th popularly elected administration, we will further accelerate our efforts to fulfill our pledges and key projects essential for the county's new leap forward," adding, "Once the budget is finalized, we will promptly and efficiently execute the planned projects without delay."


Meanwhile, the first supplementary budget proposal will be submitted to the 311th temporary session of the Changnyeong County Council, where it will be reviewed until the 24th and finally confirmed at the plenary session on the 27th.
