Creating a Positive Atmosphere for the Successful Hosting of the National Youth Sports Festival
Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) announced on the 21st that a cultural performance event will be held at 6:30 PM on the 25th at Namak Central Park as part of the ‘2024 Street Arts Revitalization Support Project.’
The Street Arts Revitalization Support Project is a small-scale citizen participation performance held within Muan, providing local artists with opportunities to perform and expand their activity base, while offering residents and visitors various attractions to enjoy cultural arts.
This performance is the second round of street arts performances and will take place in front of the fountain at Namak Central Park during the National Youth Sports Festival (May 25?28) to foster a successful event atmosphere. It features various genres such as K-pop dance, trot, magic shows, and musical instrument performances, allowing people of all ages to enjoy.
Governor Kim San said, “Through this street arts cultural performance, I hope that the officials of the National Youth Sports Festival and the citizens will create good memories not only by watching the sports competitions but also by enjoying various cultural and artistic performances.”
Meanwhile, a total of seven street arts performances are scheduled this year. The first performance was held on the 10th at Sikyeongjeong in Mongtan-myeon in connection with the ‘Mama School’ program, a village community mother school under the Department of Regional Development. Mothers who came for a picnic at Sikyeongjeong sang along and danced joyfully, receiving enthusiastic responses.
