The scholarship certificate award ceremony was attended by Jeong Jae-hoon, President of Dong-A Socio Holdings, Park Kwang-soon, Chairman of the Suseok Cultural Foundation, and other officials. At this ceremony, the Suseok Cultural Foundation provided scholarships totaling 120 million KRW to 55 students, including 20 new scholarship recipients (12 university students and 8 high school students) and 35 existing scholarship students. The selected scholarship students will receive support until their university graduation.

The new scholarship students were selected from university students recommended by four organizations: the Seoul Pharmaceutical Association, Seoul Metropolitan Child Welfare Association, Seoul Disabled Welfare Center Association, and the nonprofit organization Mulmangcho, as well as from current students of Sangju High School. Sangju High School has maintained a connection with Dong-A Socio Group since 1964, when the late Chairman Kang Jung-hee, the founder of Dong-A Socio Group, was appointed as chairman.

This year, a meeting between seniors and juniors of Sangju High School was also held. Eighteen alumni of Sangju High School participated in the event and joined programs such as the "Worry Erasing Talk Concert" with the students selected as scholarship recipients.

The Suseok Cultural Foundation is a foundation established in 1987 by the late Kang Shin-ho, Chairman of Dong-A Socio Group, who donated his private assets to nurture the next generation of talents fulfilling social responsibility and to contribute to regional community development. Up to last year, the foundation has awarded scholarships totaling approximately 4 billion KRW to 2,013 students.

A representative of the Suseok Cultural Foundation said, "We hope that the scholarships will help the students envision a better future, even if just a little," and added, "The Suseok Cultural Foundation plans to continue various activities to nurture the next generation of talents who fulfill social responsibility."
