Uljin District Council of the Korean Red Cross Volunteer Society Conducts Mobile Laundry Service Sharing Activities

The Uljin District Council of the Korean Red Cross Gyeongbuk Branch carried out a mobile laundry volunteer service for 20 low-income elderly households living alone at the Jinbok 2-ri Village Hall on the 20th.

On this day, 15 members of the Korean Red Cross Volunteer Society visited each household, collected about 50 blankets, and used a mobile laundry vehicle to wash and dry the bedding before delivering it directly to the homes.


One elderly resident who received the blanket laundry support said, "I couldn't even imagine washing the thick winter blankets, but I'm so grateful that you cleaned them so thoroughly."


Chairman Cho Gyudo said, "I hope this volunteer service will be of some help to the comfortable living and hygiene management of elderly people in vulnerable groups."


Son Insu, head of Geunnam-myeon, expressed, "I am grateful for the efforts of the Red Cross Volunteer Society members who provided the laundry service, and I will continue to do my best to provide welfare services that local residents can truly feel."
