World No Tobacco Day Commemoration ... Held from 22nd to 31st
Sancheong County in Gyeongnam announced on the 21st that it will launch the "Walk 5,310 Steps a Day Challenge" in celebration of the 37th World No Tobacco Day on the 31st.
This challenge will run for 10 days, from the 22nd to the 31st, to widely promote the importance of quitting smoking and to encourage those taking on the challenge.
Participants who achieve a total of 53,100 steps over the 10 days will be entered into a drawing, with mobile coffee coupons awarded to 250 winners.
To participate, install the Walk-On app from the mobile Play Store or App Store, select "Sancheong County World No Tobacco Day 5,310 Steps Walking Challenge," and walk while carrying your mobile phone.
An official from the county health center stated, "Walking is the most accessible form of exercise," and added, "We hope that by walking together through this challenge, we can promote No Tobacco Day and help foster a smoke-free atmosphere."
