Geochang County Holds Mobile Stamp Tour to Mark Month of Patriots and Veterans Affairs

Month of Patriots and Veterans! Remember and Give Thanks by Visiting Memorial Facilities

Geochang County in Gyeongnam will hold a mobile stamp tour event starting on the 23rd to commemorate the Month of Patriots and Veterans in June.

This stamp tour event, organized to honor the noble spirit of those who dedicated themselves to the country, will be conducted by exploring memorial facilities in Geochang County using the mobile app WalkOn.

There are a total of six stamp tour locations: Parisjangseobi, Gimidoknipmanse Monument, Manhakjeong, Dacheon Seowon, the Historic Site of Myeonu Gwak Jongseok, and the Myeonu Gwak Jongseok Exhibition Hall. Participants who collect stamps from at least five of these sites will receive a Geochang Love mobile gift certificate on a first-come, first-served basis for up to 200 people.

Anyone with a smartphone can participate. Simply join the ‘Geochang Hanggeoreum’ community on the WalkOn mobile app and take part in the ‘Month of Patriots and Veterans Commemorative Stamp Tour’ event.

Ok Jinsuk, head of the Welfare Policy Division, said, “I hope this event will be an opportunity to explore our county’s memorial facilities, which are gradually being forgotten, and to honor the noble sacrifices and achievements of those who gave their lives for the country, thereby fostering a sense of patriotism.” She added, “We plan to continue promoting various events to spread the culture of honoring veterans.”
